Fiix is relentlessly committed to sustainability and part of that involves looking after our carbon footprint. For the past 5 years, we have measured and offset our scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, which is a fancy way of saying ALL OF IT.
Typically, scope 3 accounts for majority of emissions, which is the case at Fiix (see air travel and data servers). So when you see climate goals and commitments from organizations, it’s important to ask about scope 3 — THAT is where the impact lies.
Below is a chart highlighting the composition of our carbon footprint in 2019 and 2020 — and how our emissions have decreased for the first time in five years!! COVID’s restriction on travel had a positive impact on our footprint, which we are hoping to maintain moving forward.
