Hi Team,We’re looking to implement Fiix for our geothermal steam supply business and I have a question around PM check sheets. Is it better to have a check sheet for the technicians to sign off when done or have each step for each asset as a work order labour task.I was thinking about a task line for each asset or sub asset then the detail of inspection could be in the attached proceedure doc. This way time for each asset can be tracked and the check function can be used for each asset.Love to hear your thoughts. Dave

Hello.I have been using Fiix CMMS for a few years now between two locations I manage but new to this Fiixers community forum. I really am enjoying the way Fiix has helped our team be more self serving everyday. Everyone sees what needs to be done and no more hand written schedules every week.Solid platform and I like the fact they implement our suggestions from the community. In the 3 years, i have noticed 6-10 implementations that we helped suggest from our own desires.

This article was written by Marc Cousineau. Safety first. It’s a term you’ve probably heard, and said, thousands of times. And for good reason— the safety of your team is incredibly important. Even minor accidents can have a profound impact on everything from productivity and morale, to the environment and individual lives, and lead to injuries, fines, lawsuits and more.An overreliance on reactive maintenance is a major cause of accidents in many production environments. In fact, one study found that corrective maintenance leads to twice the number of accidents than preventive maintenance. Establishing a preventive maintenance strategy is one way for maintenance teams to take control of their time, resources and money to reduce the likelihood of accidents.Although every maintenance manager would say it’s a top priority to improve health and safety, implementing preventive maintenance is not an easy goal to accomplish amidst a flurry of work orders, overseeing technicians, formulating r
My colleague @Marc Cousineau is looking for some volunteers to share their CMMS experiences and insights for an upcoming campaign to help other maintenance teams who are researching Fiix.I know how many experts we have in our community so I am hoping we can get some takers to help him out. It’s pretty simple, he’ll ask you 2-3 questions and will record the session which should take about 15 minutes...unless you have A LOT of stories you want to share with him, then he’ll keep the camera rolling to capture it all 🎬 🎥 💥Respond to this thread by May 15👇 and he’ll reach out to you directly to book something based on your availability...and thank you so much for agreeing to help your peers begin to understand what is possible with Fiix 💙.

This article was written by Katie Allen, Fiix Alumni. Katie’s article remains very much relevant today as we celebrate Earth Day, and take action as individuals and organizations to look at our world through an environmentally-conscious lens. Waste. Garbage. Rubbish. Litter. Trash. Excess. These concepts are relatively new in our modern world. Waste was often synonymous with barren land and had nothing to do with disposal. Garbage — the act of throwing something away — was introduced in the early 1900s. Now, it’s a regular part of life— we buy, we use, and then we throw away. This is so common that we have entire waste management systems with teams of people and machinery dedicated to our garbage. This used to be my job. I would advise the public on where to put items when they were ready to throw it out. I would pick through big, black garbage bags on gruelling hot days, dissecting, weighing, and sorting what people threw out. I helped divert hazardous and electronic waste from enter
