How can I track the waste (Oil, oil filters, belts, rags, etc) generated during the execution of a work order
Hi
Normally it would be through consuming them as parts on the work order - parts have on hand quantities, unit prices, etc.
If they’re things you’re consuming on the regular (and likely buying more) it’s more efficient to create part records for these items, that way their consumption and cost is tracked under the parts tab of the work order.
If you don’t want to go that route, you can use the misc costs tab in the work order and log how many of these items you’re using/consuming ach time in the same way.. 5 rags at X price etc
We have closed work order reports that track costs, wherever they’re entered, as well
